Our client, based in Swindon, is a leading Contract Packaging Company to the medical and health industries.  They require a Quality Compliance Officer to work out of their Swindon office.  The role can be either a permanent role or a temp to perm role depending on the successful candidates circumstances.  The role is a technically varied role in which you will be working within the Production and Warehouse areas of the Company, ensuring compliance to GMP and company Standard Operating Procedures. Identifying areas for continuous quality improvement. To be the first point of contact for quality issues in Production.

Your main duties and responsibilities are as follows: 

  • Ensure rigorous compliance with GMP and company Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Support the investigation of deviations and customer complaints.
  • Writing and updating of SOPs pertinent to Quality Compliance tasks
  • Regular assessment of paperwork in the Production area and Print Room to include batch documentation, log books and forms to ensure compliance
  • Conducting batch document reviews
  • Regular housekeeping checks to ensure areas and lines are clean and tidy and cleaning recorded
  • Perform daily environmental monitoring checks In Production
  • Ensure Quality Control room is clean and tidy

 

Other duties may include:

  • Supporting CAPA and change control process
  • Supporting validation activities
  • Supporting re-work or re-inspection activities
  • Calibration checks on balances
  • Provide ongoing support to Quality driven projects and objectives
  • Providing cover for Goods In Inspection
  • Other quality associated tasks as directed by Senior Quality Compliance Officer of Head of Quality

 

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

Qualifications: (Essential)

  • Minimum requirement of Maths, English and Science GCSE or equivalent

 

Experience (Ideal)

  • A number of years experience working in a regulated environment, ideally in a Quality or auditing role

 

Knowledge & Skills (Ideal)

  • Good knowledge of cGMP
  • Knowledgeable in pharmaceutical packaging.

 

Knowledge & Skills (Essential)

  • Good technical writing skills.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written) and an ability to interact with colleagues at all levels in the organisation.
  • Good organisation skills
