Crew Leader
Our client is a market leading packaging Company providing services to the pharmaceutical and health food industries. They have a new requirement for a Crew Leader. This role will be temporary leading to permanent for the right candidate.
The main purpose of the role is
- To organise the lines and employees, visualise future impacts and needs, energize the employees to get their tasks done and supervise their work ensuring that the productivity and quality standards are met.
- To ensure that employees have the training, the tools and the material that they need to carry out their duties.
The key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
- To ensure the general smooth operation of the production lines creating finished product to a high quality standard.
- Complete required checks throughout the production process.
- Ensure the production machinery operates efficiently in the line.
- Create an environment oriented to open communications, creative thinking, cohesive team effort and workplace trust.
- Provide guidance to the team based on management direction
- Responsible to ensure that employees follow the organisation's policies and procedures
- Develop training plans with employees to ensure employees have the necessary expertise to carry out their jobs, provide ongoing guidance
- Ensure the line and equipment has been cleaned correctly, allowing the line to be loaded once satisfied that this has been completed.
- Checking and confirming the details of all components that are loaded onto the production line.
- Ensure that all batch documentation and production paperwork is completed at each stage of the production process.
- Make sure that all retain and customer samples have been taken.
- Ensure that any machinery being used in the line has been set up correctly and maintained throughout the production process.
- Complete all necessary in-process checks during the production run.
- Organise staff to ensure that all areas of the production line are working efficiently.
- Liaise with Production Manager AM/PM with regard to any issues affecting production output or quality.
- Responsible for making sure that the production area is kept tidy and free from obstruction in accordance with Health and Safety guidance.
- Upon completion of a production run all returns and rejects are to be accounted. The line can then be cleared ready for cleaning.
- Training and supervision of Line Operators
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
- A strong administrative background
